The Buccini/Pollin Group, Inc. (BPG) recently completed the second phase of a multimillion-dollar renovation project designed to transform the former Concord Plaza in Wilmington, Delaware into an upscale multi-use environment filled with corporate offices, luxury apartments and high-end retail space. This included the grand opening of a three-story, 60,000 sq. ft. Class A office building that is now the new home of financial technology company, Best Egg.

“Best Egg signed a 20-year lease long before they moved into their new corporate headquarters,” said De’Joun Lee, BPG’s Concord project engineer. “This gave us the opportunity to build the entire facility to their specifications. An upscale corporate design that provides comfort and privacy to employees were priorities based on issues caused by the recent pandemic.”

Built from the ground up by BPGS Construction, the new headquarters features ablack brick façade, thick insulated metal wall panels and a main entrance highlighted by a double height atrium that opens to a grand stair with glass railings and terrazzo tile. Other amenities include three open kitchens, acoustic wood ceilings, a patio with TVs and ping pong and foosball tables.

“We worked directly with Best Egg to ensure we met every design criteria,” explained Lee. “This extended from the main facility all the way to the fitness center, locker rooms and the restrooms located on all three floors.”

To accent the white tiles and flooring in each of the eight restrooms, BPG worked with Best Egg to specify Scranton Products® Aria Partitions® for a total of 23 stalls.
