Located in Sussex County, New Jersey, The Newton Country Club has been a place to call home for golf enthusiasts for over 100 years. An added benefit of Hiny Hiders was that the HDPE material was able to be cut in the field and modified to install around a soffit that was installed low on the locker room ceiling. The HDPE solid plastic material was cut and routed to a finished edge to provide a seamless finish,” said Nick Cerniglia, President of 10-Spec.

The country club enjoyed having a feature of raised panels and engraved doors, and it was an easy deciding factor for this installation. Another major positive was being able to provide ship lapping of doors and having no sightlines without adding additional hardware and providing added privacy to the toilet compartments. Golf members enjoy giving positive feedback about the overall finished partitions and the raised panel look on the doors creating a refreshing modern amenity space.

“The other products in the industry, such as laminate and stainless steel, are not good options for a locker room with a shower in it since they collect moisture. HDPE plastic doesn’t absorb moisture, so you don’t have to worry about the product getting rusted or any negative changes to the material,” stated Cerniglia.
